Back to reality

We're back! And I already miss being on vacation. It's amazing how much work goes into a few days away from home with the planning and the packing and the shopping ad then the unpacking and the getting back into the swing of things.

We had a great time, though. A lovely few days spent doing nothing at our friends' cottage. We stayed in our PJ's, watched too much TV, ate too many unhealthy foods, and played too much Wii. There was also too much sleeping in, too much staying up late, and not enough drinking, but hey-we had a toddler with us, so that kind of puts a kink in the getting good and drunk portion of our vacation plans.

As soon as we returned home, though, it was back to regular-family-craziness with a going away party for Sweeter to celebrate his new job. Buttercup got to spend some time with family and friends and then was whisked away by close friends for a little sleep over while we got to stay and mingle and knock back a few shots of tequila with people we may never see again.

She's snug and sleeping in her little toddler bed now while I sit here typing away, trying to get caught up with my writing and blogging.

So I'm off to do what I need to do and I'll be back later to muse on everything Buttercup and motherhood. Until then, have a good night!
