And we're back. With an actual post.

I'm sure you've all had a good laugh over my last post. All that I managed was my signature.

Classy and professional.

But then I guess if some idiot can paint a big red circle on a white canvas and call it art, then I can put up an empty post and call it, well, a post.

In all seriousness though, I'm really trying to get better about blogging here. I have been pretty busy at Berrie Sweet Picks, Twittering like crazy trying to network, and spent the last week pitching various publications my story ideas. No bites yet, but I'm just going to keep trying and eventually they will either hire me to write for them or file a restraining order against me.

But while I wait, I'm also trying to figure out ways to make some money. I ain't ashamed to admit that if it wasn't for my husband, I wouldn't be freelancing right now. Because right now, the stress is on the word "free." I guess this is one of those "famine" portions of the "feast or..." routine I've heard so many other freelancers talk about.

So for now, I get to play housewife and stay-at-home Mommy. I can't complain, because I know that once the assignments do start to roll in again, I'm going to miss the "anytime cuddletime" I've got going on with Buttercup right now.

Ha! I figured it out. Cute, Kary....very cute.
Anyway, I meant to write a post. I had the blog open and everything and then I just forgot and went to bed. I didn't know it looked like that until I logged in today to write this post.
I even did a double take.

One day, you'll use that as an example of what working at home does to your brain.

Thanks for your blog -- I don't know why I hadn't figured out the term "work-at-home mom" after a year and a half of freelancing. I always stutter when people ask if I work. The long story: Yes, I work way more on writing and marketing now than I ever did at my magazine job; I do way more housework because it's looking me in the face all the time; and I earn way less and worry about money way more. Woo-hoo! The short story: I'm fierce and determined to make it work as a freelancer.

Kristen-thanks so much for your comment. It's nice to know that other freelancers are actually reading and relating to my WAHMo adventures.
I'll stop by your blog, too, and hope to see you back over here!
